This term gets thrown around often nowadays, but I'm not sure many people truly understand it. One definition used, was that a douchebag is someone with an overinflated sense of self worth compounded by a low level of intelligence. I agree with the first part, but I believe there are different levels of douchebags. A basic douchebag might fit that full definition. He believes, and thinks that others believe, that he is the most important thing around. He wears sunglasses at night, either has a ton of hair gel or is a white guy wearing a flat billed hat with a slight lean. He dresses in shirts too tight and is loud and obnoxious with not much regard for others. This douchebag, while annoying, is virtually harmless. His motives are easy to see and recognizable as douchelike.
There is a group of more sophisticated douchebags that bring the game to a new level. They also are concerned only with themselves, perhaps even more so than the basic douchebag, however they realize that not everyone thinks that about them. They manipulate situations and people for their gain and high five their douche-friends as they tell about their exploits of exploitation. They say what people want to hear and show people what they want to see, but it is a game they play to get what they can. These! These are the douches that we will focus on for this blog.
My purpose with these posts, is to help others identify and avoid douchebags.
